The Jelly Bean Prayer Poem

The Jelly Bean Prayer Poem is a wonderful reminder of the love of Jesus and the sacrifice He made when He died on the cross for our sins.
Using this poem as a teaching tool for young children is a vivid reminder to all of us of the reason why we are celebrating Easter in the first place.
Whether you use the prayer or the poem, place colorful candy or jelly beans in a plastic egg so that children everywhere can share the story of Jesus’ love. You can probably find a bag of candy that will include every color used in this poem.
Jelly Bean Prayer (Jelly Bean Poem)
Red is for the blood He gave.
Green is for the grass He made.
Yellow is for the sun so bright.
Orange is for the edge of night.
Black is for the sins we made.
White is for the grace He gave.
Purple is for His hour of sorrow.
Pink is for our new tomorrow.
An egg full of jellybeans, colorful and sweet
Is a prayer, a promise, a loved one’s treat!

Easter Poem – Jelly Beans
Red is for the blood He gave.
Green is for the grass He made.
Yellow is for the sunflowers so bright.
Black is for the dark of night.
White is for the grace He gave.
Orange is for the sun He made.
Purple is for the hours of sorrow.
Pink is for our new tomorrow.
A bag full of jelly beans,
Colorful and sweet.
It’s a prayer, a promise,
And a child’s treat.
There were a couple of versions of the Jelly Bean Poem (Prayer) on the Internet. Both were on websites that indicated they were public domain, which means anyone can use the poem. If anyone has information that these are not public domain, please let me know as soon as possible.
